Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy — English

Effective Date: 21 August 2026

Quick Bill respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the information you provide while using the application. This Privacy Policy explains what information Quick Bill may collect, how that information is used, how documents are stored, and how optional Google Drive integration works.

1. Information We Collect

When you create and use a Quick Bill account, the application may collect and store information such as:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Company or team information
  • Customer names and contact details
  • Invoice, quotation, and bill information
  • Item descriptions
  • Quantity, unit, unit price, and document totals
  • Document status and related business information
  • Account and login-related information required to operate the service

Quick Bill does not require users to provide unnecessary personal information beyond what is needed to operate the application.

2. How We Use Your Information

Information stored in Quick Bill is used to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Create invoices, quotations, and bills
  • Save reusable customer and item information
  • Generate downloadable PDF documents
  • Maintain your documents and application settings
  • Provide account security and email verification
  • Improve application reliability and usability
  • Provide optional Google Drive backup functionality when you choose to connect Google Drive

3. Customer and Document Data

Customer, item, invoice, quotation, and bill information is stored as structured application data in the Quick Bill database. This information is used only to provide the application's document creation and management features. Quick Bill is designed so that each user's or team's business information is separated from other users' information. Users should only enter customer or business information that they are authorized to use.

4. PDF Documents

Quick Bill allows users to generate PDF versions of invoices, quotations, and bills. Users can download these PDF files directly to their own computer or device. Google Drive is not required to create or download a PDF.

5. Google Drive Integration

Google Drive integration is an optional feature. A user may use Quick Bill without connecting a Google account. If you choose to connect Google Drive:

  • You will be redirected to Google's authorization process.
  • You choose which Google account to connect.
  • Your Quick Bill login email does not need to be the same as your Google account email.
  • Quick Bill may create an application folder in your Google Drive.
  • Generated PDF documents may be backed up to that connected Google Drive account.
  • Quick Bill uses the Google authorization permissions required for this functionality.

If Google Drive is not connected, normal Quick Bill features, including PDF generation and local PDF download, remain available. If a Google Drive backup fails, the application is designed so that the primary PDF download can still continue where possible.

6. Google Account Passwords

Quick Bill does not ask for, collect, or store your Google account password. Google account authentication is handled by Google. Quick Bill only receives authorization information provided through Google's OAuth authorization process.

7. Google Drive Access

Quick Bill should only request Google Drive permissions necessary for the application's backup functionality. The application is not intended to access unrelated personal files in your Google Drive. Google Drive access is associated with the Quick Bill user who authorized the connection.

8. Email and Account Verification

Quick Bill uses your email address for account-related purposes, including:

  • Account registration
  • Email verification
  • Password reset
  • Important account notifications

New users may be required to verify their email address before accessing protected application features.

9. Data Isolation

Quick Bill is designed as a multi-user application. Customer records, saved items, invoices, quotations, bills, and related business information are scoped to the appropriate user or team. Users should not normally be able to access another user's private application data.

10. Security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect application data. These may include:

  • Authentication
  • Email verification
  • User/team-based data separation
  • Secure password handling
  • Encrypted storage of certain authorization credentials
  • HTTPS
  • Controlled access to protected application routes

However, no online service can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting their own account password and the security of their email and connected Google account.

11. Passwords

Quick Bill does not store user passwords in plain text. Passwords are handled using the security mechanisms provided by the Laravel framework. Users should use strong passwords and should not share their login credentials with other people.

12. Third-Party Services

Quick Bill may use third-party services necessary for application operation, including:

  • Google services for optional Google Drive integration
  • Email services for verification and password reset
  • Web hosting and server infrastructure

When you use a third-party service, that service may process information according to its own privacy policy and terms.

13. Cookies and Sessions

Quick Bill may use cookies and browser sessions for purposes such as:

  • Keeping users signed in
  • Maintaining secure sessions
  • Protecting forms and requests
  • Remembering application state

These cookies are used primarily for application functionality and security.

14. Data Retention

Application data may remain stored while your Quick Bill account remains active. Some records may also be retained when reasonably necessary for security, backup, technical troubleshooting, legal or operational requirements. PDF documents stored in your own Google Drive remain under the control of your Google account.

15. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your account credentials secure
  • Ensuring the business and customer information you enter is lawful and accurate
  • Obtaining any permission required to store or process customer information
  • Managing files stored in your own Google Drive
  • Protecting exported or downloaded PDF files after they leave the Quick Bill application
